About the Belt and Road Initiative
Spearheaded by the Chinese Government, this initiative is designed to boost economic, trade, investment and other ties of 65 countries across Asia, Europe and Africa covering 63% of the world’s population. It offers unprecedented business opportunities in such sectors as infrastructure, transportation, logistics, financing and investment in the beginning. It will also unfold a myriad of opportunities for companies to promote products and services to these markets. And these opportunities are not exclusive for companies in the Belt and Road Region. Canadian companies can also tap these possibilities. A strategic way is to leverage the Hong Kong platform as their Super Connector.
Updated information on the Belt and Road initiative can be obtained from the HKTDC Belt and Road Portal: http://beltandroad.hktdc.com/en/index.aspx
