He also specializes in treating skin cancers of the face with a flap or grafting reconstruction.Dr. Truswell served as president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2017 and 2018 and continues to serve on the Board of Directors as Immediate Past President. Currently, he is the president of the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He has taught and practiced in 12 countries around the world. Dr. Truswell has authored and edited three textbooks, four books, and contributed many articles to journals and chapters in his field.
