Experience

Oluseun Olufade, MD, is an and an Orthopedic Surgeon and Assistant Professor of Orthopedics at the Emory School of Medicine. He is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, sports medicine, and interventional spine care. Dr. Olufade has a special interest in youth and adult sports, regenerative medicine and orthobiologics. 


Dr. Olifade approaches his treatment by prioritizing the non-surgical treatment of sports and orthopedic injuries, including ultrasound and fluoroscopic-guided procedures and the use of stem cell therapy and platelet-rich plasma (PRP). His patients range from middle school students to professional athletes. He also participated in research on regenerative medicine and has presented at numerous regional and national conferences. Dr. Olufade is currently a physician for several athletic teams and organizations, including U.S. Soccer, Atlanta Hawks, and Emory University. 


He has also served as team physician for Major League Soccer teams including the Philadelphia Union and Atlanta United. He is actively involved in the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM) as chair for the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) curriculum subcommittee and co-chair for the Diversity Mentoring Program.

Education

Dr. Olufade received his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and his medical degree from the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He did his residency and post-graduate training at Temple University Hospital and Keystone Healthcare System in Pennsylvania.
