Experience

Lauren Schlanger, MD, FACP, oversees the Women’s Health Program with a primary focus on women’s health including transgender health. Dr. Schlanger draws from her experience as a hospitalist and internist in her current role leading the Mind-Body Medicine Group to help patients address their health issues. She is also an Assistant Professor of clinical medicine at Brown University where she guides internal medicine residents and medical students.

As a practicing internist, I'm very excited to bring my passion for empowering people to promote their own health and wellness through trustworthy and current health information out of my exam room and accessible to you.

Education

Dr. Schlanger earned her bachelor’s degree from Cornell University. She earned her medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University. She completed residency training in general internal medicine on the women’s health track at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. Schlanger also earned an advanced training specialty certificate from the Mind-Body Medicine Program for Women and for Chronic Pain and completed Battlefield Acupuncture training.
