Geralyn Dexter, PhD., LMHC, is an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Southern New Hampshire University. She is also an expert mental health writer. In addition, Dexter is a licensed clinician specializing in treating anxiety and mood disorders, and substance use.

Dexter has over ten years of clinical experience in intensive outpatient centers, community-based settings, private practice, and mental health startups. Her research interests include suicidal ideation and behavior, non-suicidal self-injury, barriers to assessment and treatment, and therapist emotional responses.
