Experience

Cristian Zanartu, MD, MPH, is an internal medicine physician specializing in supportive and palliative care. He has worked for more than seven years at two cancer centers in New York City in addition to working in primary care. He has published multiple articles on palliative medicine and infectious diseases in peer-reviewed journals, including the American Journal of Hospital and Palliative Care.

Balancing the risks and benefits of any intervention is difficult, particularly in this era wherein patients are too overwhelmed with options and physicians are too burdened by the fear of liability that they can't give a sincere opinion. I believe education is key to improving health outcomes.
