Experience

Bryan Wolynski, OD, FAAO, is an optometrist at Metro Community Health Centers and adjunct assistant clinical professor at SUNY College of Optometry. Dr. Wolynski has over 35 years of experience in the eye care field including providing mobile eye care to financially underprivileged children with the Miami Lighthouse for the Blind. He also works with OrCam Technologies where he works in professional relations and conducts clinical research. After completing his residency in 2002, Dr, Wolynski also went into private practice in New York City.

In addition to his responsibilities as an educator, Dr. Wolynski provides homebound eye care to residents in Manhattan and provides eye exams at Bowery Mission homeless shelters while serving as an adjunct assistant clinical professor at SUNY College of Optometry in 2019. As a representative of OrCam Technologies, he has been featured on several media outlets and shows including Dr. Phil, The Steve Harvey Show, The Doctors, Good Morning America, Inside Edition, Fox News, and CBS News. He has also spoken at conferences around the world about vision care, low vision, and vision technology. During his time in New York, Dr. Wolynski joined Metro Community Health Centers in the Bronx, seeing patients with special needs.

Currently, Dr. Wolynski is on the board of the New York State Optometric Association and the non-profit, Laugh for Sight, which raises money for guide dogs and retina research. He also works as Chief Technology Officer of the Lighthouse Guild, overseeing assistive technology initiatives and providing services to people with vision loss to attain their goals.
