Experience

Anju Goel, MD, MPH, is a public health consultant and internist with over 10 years of experience addressing communicable diseases, health policy, health promotion, and disaster preparedness within the California public health system. Since 2020, she has worked for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as a consultant on the COVID-19 response.

In addition to her work as a physician, Dr. Goel volunteers with Physicians for Human Rights to conduct pro bono forensic evaluations for asylum seekers and provides medical consultation for youth with diabetes in East Africa as a volunteer for Life for a Child. She is also a co-lead on the American Medical Women's Association literary medicine task force.

My goal is to provide information that empowers people to take charge of their health. So much of the disease that we experience is a result of lifestyles that don't support healthy choices. Even small changes in diet, exercise, and attention to our mental well-being can make big differences.
