Since 2020, she has worked for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as a consultant on the COVID-19 response.In addition to her work as a physician, Dr. Goel volunteers with Physicians for Human Rights to conduct pro bono forensic evaluations for asylum seekers and provides medical consultation for youth with diabetes in East Africa as a volunteer for Life for a Child.
